Caterina is an accomplished leader with over 10 years experience in finance and banking. She is passionate about working with founders and investors to help achieve their strategic growth potential and financial success. Caterina was recruited to Silicon Valley Bank to lead the bank’s expansion into Western Canada (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) including opening the Vancouver office. In this role she worked with founders in Enterprise Software, Consumer Internet, Fintech, and Cleantech and built strategic relationships with Canadian and US based VC and growth equity firms to highlight investment opportunities and manage existing investments in the region. She previously held senior roles at Espresso Capital and BMO. Her expertise spans market analysis, investment strategy, due diligence, underwriting and portfolio management. She has structured venture debt, working capital and acquisition financing (from seed stage to late private and public companies) for some of the top performing tech companies in Western Canada.
Caterina graduated from the University of Victoria in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and completed a Master of Business Administration Degree from the UBC Sauder School of Business in 2012. In her spare time, she enjoys snowboarding, SUPing and travelling with her family.
