Dan Benoit

Dan has over 20 years of experience in capital markets, corporate advisory and M&A. Prior to joining Fort Capital, Dan founded an independent consultancy where he arranged over $2.3 billion of debt and provided strategic counsel for clients in the energy transition sector. In executive level roles in infrastructure and renewable energy, including more than 7 years at Brookfield Renewable, he has led $12 billion of bank and private placement credit facilities. He brings a unique focus to the team given this extensive expertise structuring and executing project finance transactions.   

Dan holds a MBA from The Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He also holds a BSc and MSc from McGill University.
