Guillaume Poulin

Guillaume brings more than 20 years of experience advising management teams, boards and shareholders on mergers and acquisitions, financing, performance assessment and governance. He has done work for a variety of clients, including large public issuers, family-owned companies, startups, private equity firms and pension funds in Canada, the USA, and Europe. Over the course of his career, he has advised on transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $3.0 billion.

Before joining Fort Capital, Guillaume served in several senior roles, including most recently as Managing Partner at Oaklins, where he advised mid-market clients on M&A transactions. Earlier in his career, he worked as an investment banker with Citigroup in the UK and as a corporate lawyer in Montreal. Guillaume also co-founded and managed Gestion Agriterra, a farmland investment corporation focused on the acquisition, management and rental of farmland.

Guillaume holds an LL.B. from Sherbrooke University and an MBA from INSEAD.
