Fort Capital Partners is pleased to announce that Soaring Attractions LP (SALP) has sold the assets of the FlyOver Canada virtual flight ride attraction and the FlyOver business concept to Viad Corp (NYSE:VVI) for $68.8 million.

Founded in 2013 by Andrew Strang, Stephen Geddes and the Aquilini Group, FlyOver Canada is consistently rated as one of Vancouver’s top attractions by TripAdvisor and welcomed close to 600,000 guests and generated revenue over $11 million in 2016.

Viad’s Travel & Recreation Group owns Banff Gondola, Glacier Skywalk, and a number of other iconic attractions in spectacular locations across North America. The acquisition provides an opportunity to expand the FlyOver brand to other locations in Canada and around the world.

FlyOver Canada’s sister attraction, FlyOver America, which opened in 2016 and is located at Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, is not part of the sale and will continue to be owned by SALP.

The state-of-the-art, multi-sensory experience combines motion seating, spectacular media and special effects, including wind, scent and mist, to provide a true flying experience for guests.
